To provide a quotation with any accuracy, it is best if you can provide the following details;

1. Photographs are always a major help, and they need to be resonable quailty and at least 800 pixels wide.
2. In addition to pictures, please give as complete a description as possible, including size, material (ie, metal,card,wood), extent of wear amd any other information you feel may be useful.
3. Please let me know what country you based, as I can then quote for delivery.

As you may imagine, prices vary according to the age, size, materials and amount of work required. But as a very rough guide;

White painted round dials start at £80 for a 12 inch dial to be cleaned and blackwork re-instated, the cost increases if there are subsidiary dials and/or manufacturers names etc.

Painted longcase / tallcase dials start at £90 for a 12 inch square 30 hr dial for re-inking blackwork only, and can rise to £350 plus for large arch dials with moon and other subsidiary dials, which require extensive restoration.

20th century transfer dials cost from £40 for a 3 inch dial and increase by roughly £10 per inch according to the dial and whether there are subsidiary dials and/or manufacturers names etc. Please note that the maximum size I can make a transfer dial is 8 inches, and I cannot reproduce metallic colours such as gold or silver.
Unfortunately I am now unable to continue with transfer dials.

All of the above are dependant on whether the original dial surface is to be retained or it requires a complete repaint, repairs to paint loss areas, re-silvering/re-waxing, paintings restored, re-gilding etc. Due to the amount of variables, it is best to just contact me for a free quotation or advice.

Shipping - Small dials below 8 inches are normally returned via Royal Mail next day delivery service to with the UK, Airmail small packet to other destinations. Large dials are sent tracked via next day courier to within the UK, and via Express courier to other destinations.

Insurance - Please be aware that neither Royal Mail, UK Couriers OR International couriers will insure - antiques, clocks or glass. The only couriers that will insure these items at a much greater cost are dedicated antiques couriers. So items are sent and returned at your own risk.
If sending a dial from outside of the uk, please be sure to mark it as 'TEMPORARY IMPORT - FOR RESTORATION/REPAIR AND RETURN' otherwise you will have to pay Import Tax!

Payment No payment or deposit is required until any work is completed to the satisfaction of the client. I always email pictures of progress and the completed work. Once approved payment can be made via personal cheque (UK ONLY), Paypal (you do not need a paypal account to pay via this method) or via bank transfer, client to pay all bank charges.
